Ready set............ Go

Well we are on week two of my marathon training. I love it. I am having a great time. I am meeting great people and am sure that I will have a group of great friends at the end of this. I'm so excited an happy that I am finally getting back to the things that make me happy. I am finding people who support you no questions asked and that are pretty much just like me. It is a wonderful thing. I forgot what it was like to be surrounded by people who are all working towards a common goal.

The other thing that I'm doing at the moment is Kickball. It is an interesting experience. It's just really nice to be getting out there and meeting new people. I kind of love it and totally forgot that I knew how to make friends. I'm going to write a witty (well as witty as I can be in the written word) fun post soon not just a short this is what I'm doing in my life post.

Hope everyone else is having a great Saturday!

  1. This is really awesome! I can't wait to start swimming at the springs this summer. The springs are right next to my new work! Then I am going to create my own secret triathalon against myself where I ride my bike to the greenbelt, run the trail to the springs and then swim. And then someone picks me up and drives my tired self home (and picks up my bike on the way).

  2. That sounds like so much fun. I want springs to swim in. Sometimes I wonder if I really should just pack it up and head to the country.

  4. Thanks! Running a marathon has actually been a goal of mine for like 10 years. I'm just finally going to do it.

  5. Megs! Thank you so much for the awesome little thank you note! I love getting mail addressed to "Singlutionary". It was really touching. The other day my dad said something about my blog being "just a hobby". He doesn't get it because when he was a kid they didn't even have TV, much less the internet (my dad is in his 70s). Anyways, I want to frame your adorable little card and gloat to my dad about it!

You're inspiring me with all this running. Maybe I'll run a marathon too! (yeah right!)
