Personal Statment
Who wants to write a personal statement for me that will convince my favorite museum to hire me as an educational intern. It is a ten month paid internship with health benefits. Hopefully leading to a job at the same museum. I haven't written a personal statement in 5 years. Where do you begin?

Ugh I am horrible at stuff like this - I am terrible at selling myself. the best advice I've gotten though is to make sure that while it's professional and concise that it also screams MEGS. You don't want it to be so generic that they skim over it because it doesn't radiate your fabulous personality.
ReplyDeleteoh. you can so rock this! i mean, you've been working on it for years now. A blog is essentially a frequently updated personal statement. Just think about who you are, barf it into a computer and the condense and refine it until the awesomeness of Megs starts to shine through!

So true but I'm so nervous.... I have a month to do it.
