Utter Fail
There is something I utterly and horribly fail at. This would be internet dating. I am not able to woo people online. I don't have time to email. I don't get any emails. I get a ton of winks. However, I just think winks are lame. I'm sick of all the winks and I'm rejected in real life enough. I guess this is why I don't do online dating. I would like to go on lots of dates. Would someone please give me lessons on how this online dating things works.

Yes, online dating kind of sucks. And it is just a lesson in rejection, but it can be kind of fun. I found that I had to treat every person I met like there was no harm in meeting them because they might become a good friend, but I had to keep open the tiniest possibility that they'd be The One.
ReplyDeleteThe winking thing seems weird - but you have to remember that the guy is equally as afraid of rejection which is probably why he winked anyway instead of just talking to you. Maybe?
The point is it should be fun. So you need to find a way to make it fun without it being stressful or getting your hopes too high for each date.

ReplyDeleteYou bring up excellent points and I just realized that I don't really care about any of it. I have so many things going on that the last thing I have time to worry about is emailing people on an online dating site. I just don't know.
